Once upon a time, above the sky, there was a celestial kingdom named Spectrapolis. It was led by King Horiz and Queen Ciela.
They were surrounded by seven fairies to help the people who lived on the earth of Spectrapolis. One of the fairies was Rose - the loving fairy.
Meanwhile, in a beautiful wooden house, lived a carpenter named Maurice with his daughter, Candice. She was only 8 years old.
"Dad, next month is the Harvest-Moon Festival, shall we go there?" asked Candice.
"Please go by yourself. Yo can go with our neighbours. I'll give you money for it. Have fun!" replied Maurice.
Candice was so sad and disappointed to hear the answer. Then she sit at the backyard. She stared at the moon. Suddenly, stardust surrounded her.
"Hail Candice! Don't be afraid! My name is Rose, the loving fairy. Don't be so sad, my sweet little girl. I will grant your wish, Candice, because you're such a sweet little merry sunshine to me."
"Can I get my mom back, Fairy Rose?"
"It's not easy sweet heart. There are two terms that you fill," explained Rose.
"Please mention your terms, fairy Rose."
"Go aroud the strawberry tree near the abyss. There are three butterflies flying around. Catch them all. Put them in the jar glass. After your dad tells that he loves you, your mom is going to be back to you. And after you get your mom back, as the second term, open the glass jar and the three butterflies within, release them to the thin air. Well, may God speed, my lovely girl."
And then Rose disappeared in stardust.
That night, Maurice had a bad dream. Candice slipped into the abyss when she was going to catch butterflies near a strawberry tree.
"Maurice, why did you let Candice fall into the abyss? You are not trying to help her!" sobbed Berenice in his dream.
Maurice woke up in cold sweat. He still could hear his heartbeat. He was so grateful. It was just a nightmare. But it was still bothering him. Then Maurice went to the strawberry tree near the abyss, since he did not find Candice at home.
"Help! Somebody. Fairy Rose?" said Candice weakly and deeply scared.
No one answered, Candice felt so despaired. Suddelny, Maurice showed up. He shocked knowing about what happened to his daughter.
"Candice, hold on!" shouted Maurice.
"Dad! Help me! I can't hold it any longer!" screamed Candice.
Finally, Maurice lifted up her daughter.
"Sweetheart, my daughter, I love you so much. What are you doing in here?" asked Maurice.
Candice was still sobbing. They held each other, and then, the stardust came around them. Rose kept her words. She came with Berenice. Maurice didn't believe his eyes.
"Berenice!"
"Mommy!" screamed Candice and she ran to embrace her mother. They held each other. Candice still sobbed, but soon she remembered about Rose.
"Fairy Rose, thank you!"
"Anytime, my sweet Candice. Now you got your mother back. Be a good girl. And don't forget there is one thing you must do. Farewell."
Rose disappeared in stardust.
Suddenly Candice remembered that there was something she had to do. She went inside her bedroom and took the glass of jar and three butterflies within. She opened the top of the glass jar very carefully, and three butterflies flew into the thin air.
Maurice and Berenice smiled to see their daughter's behavior though they didn't understand why.
King Horiz and Queen Ciela were glad to see what Rose had done.
"Good work, Rose. We're both proud of you," said King Horiz.
"Thank you for the compliment, my Lord. It is my job to spread love and compassion for the people who live in the earth of Spectrapolis.
"From the sky, Rose watched Maurice, Berenice and Candice were having fun in the Harvest-moon Festival. A wide smile appeared in her face.
